Improving the health and wellbeing of the NHS workforce
The Royal College of Physicians is partnered with the Faculty of Occupational Medicine to improve the quality of health care received by people of working age and raise the profile of health and work in the national quality agenda.
We carry out:
- National organisational and clinical audit
- Development of evidence-based guidelines for occupational health clinicians
- Engagement activities such as conferences and workshops
Nationally there is an emphasis on NHS staff health and wellbeing.
A high quality workforce is central to achieving the ambitions set out in the NHS 2010 Operating Framework, Dame Carol Black's Working for a Healthier Tomorrow, the Boorman report and the NHS constitution. Our strategy is set in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary steering group of national stakeholder groups.
